Schnauzers have been a part of my existence for many, many years.
The black Giant Schnauzers were the first to come to me - two females purchased in Norway and a male from Sweden. That was in the middle of the sixties.
My Christmas present in 1974 was a pepper/salt Giant Schnauzer male Multi Champion Ceus v.d. Klosterpforte. He went to Sweden by kennel Gråskäggs as stud dog.
In 1980 the first Miniature Schnauzer arrived and bowled me over. He was 1 ½ years old S.Champion Gråskäggs Emil. Most of you know Astrid Lindgren's books about Emil from Lonneberg and my little Emil had many qualities in common with him.
My next pepper/salt Miniature Schnauzer was a super Show Lady Multi Champion Gråskäggs Irma La Douce (Duska) born on April 3rd, 1982. She was the beginning of breeding Miniature Schnauzers and was the mother of 4 litters, from which about half became Champions. Duska had enormous personality - she nearly controlled our life. She was one of those special dogs I remember with big joy.
In 1987 I bought my first American Miniature Schnauzer Von Goetz American Made, who became Danish Champion and mother to a single litter.
In 1992 I changed to breeding black Miniature Schnauzers in cooperation with my niece, who was responsible for the breeding in 8 years.
2003, I was again alone owner of Kennel Barba Nigra, without any breeding bitches the last years. Through my males I was still inside the breeding, but by other Kennels…2005 went to be the year where I lost my most beloved, admired, envied and discussed dog. Multi Champion, 18 X BEST IN SHOW Standing v.d. Havenstad (Rollo), who in all his 11th year was together with me, on my job and in my spare time, except from 3 weeks where we, my husband and I was in USA. Unfortunately, I’m not got a heir after him, but loved his youngest daughter, who lived by me in 6 months. Unfortunately she should go back to the kennel, where she was born, this was also in 2005. After this time late 2005, I absolutely don’t wanted to get a new dog. But, my husband and some friends helped me to going on.

2007 I have two young beautyful males, my Spanish charming boy “Ramos and the little checky devil “Hunter” from Russia, and offcourse our sweet old Matt at 10 years.

Follow these pages and see what exciting new things time might bring.

Many thanks for visiting me and my lovely dogs.
